The Director of Product Marketing will be a key technical spokesperson for DataRobot. This career-defining opportunity focuses on communicating our unique value in the fast-emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning markets.

As the first product marketing hire at DataRobot, you will craft the messaging and positioning for our products, educate and enable our salesforce, and drive demand for DataRobot across the globe. Your success will measured by sales productivity, brand awareness and sentiment, and thought leadership.

You are a data scientist looking to move into a strategic role or an experienced product marketing manager ready to take on today’s hottest market: automated machine learning and artificial intelligence. World-class communication and leadership skills are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product positioning – develop messaging to capitalize on the unique value of DataRobot in deploying AI machine learning across the enterprise
  • Sales productivity – enable the sales force to communicate and prove the value DataRobot products
  • Competitive analysis — analyze competitors to understand emerging trends and how to position against them.
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Analyst Relations — field inquiries from industry analysts including Gartner, Forrester and IDC; manage analyst briefings
  • Content — ensure the DataRobot product is accurately promoted through channels that target all buyers; own the quality and delivery of this content.
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on buyers, their buying criteria, how they buy and their buying criteria – and on competitors and how to effectively position DataRobot against them
  • Demand generation – develop the product promotion strategy, identify opportunities for marketing programs that drive demand for DataRobot
  • Internal communications -- ensure cross departmental discussions about product roadmap and strategy are in sync and everyone has a common understanding of emerging requirements.

Skills

  • 5+ years practical data science experience or 5+ years product marketing in a data science environment
  • World-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with an enterprise customer base and sales force
  • Highly-rated conference presenter
  • Ability to engage and empathize with data scientists, business users and technologists.
  • BSc degree or equivalent experience
  • Active in social media
