Please be a player/coach who:
- Leads. You’ll build a team of four or five A-players who deeply understand the flywheel that is ezCater and generate insights that help spin the wheel faster and more efficiently.
- Collects data. Help us build a powerful data warehouse. Understand all the data in our ecosystem, advocate for its integrity and availability, and suggest new data we will collect and integrate.
- Tracks. Our dashboards illuminate many aspects of our operation. Help us make the dashboards more insightful and comprehensive. Make them keep watch, and raise early alerts as needed.
- Analyzes. What does our data tell us about our customer (and caterer) profiles? Where in our customers’ (and caterers’) journeys – journeys that are multi-step, multi-touch, multi-channel, and many years long – do we best intervene, in order to accomplish X? Is X even the best thing to accomplish, or would Y be better? What intervention is best?
- Models. What is the correlation between this promotion and that result? What is the impact of showing this visitor or this customer these caterers vs. those caterers? How will that change over time, for that individual?
- Predicts. What will be the ROI on this keyword, at this time of day, in this geo, for this visitor, across our nearly two million SEM campaigns? How much should we bid? Can we use machine learning to know what caterer or dish to suggest to this customer under these circumstances?
Please:
- Have 10+ years' experience in data science, including business analytics, advanced statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
- Have proven experience building and leading a happy and effective team of business analysts and data scientists.
- Have significant experience in Google Analytics and SEM modeling on a large scale.
- Have significant experience in e-commerce, in both visitor conversion and in long-term customer retention.
- Have a history of generating insights that have helped function owners be more successful.
- Have significant experience in a complex and very fast-moving business.
- Be adept at explaining complex analyses, and producing visualizations of complex conclusions, for business owners.
- Have a history of excellent collaboration with engineers.
- Be insanely helpful. That’s a requirement. Being funny is a plus.
