What You'll Do- Share responsibility for health, scalability and availability of our cloud infrastructure
- Automate deployment of AWS infrastructure and services
- Select, architect, and implement and maintain monitoring, alerting and reporting
- Inject and maintain a healthy level of humor within the team
- Ensure cloud architecture meets scalability, availability and cost requirements
- Be a mentor to team members on good operational practices
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2-8 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with technical operations and software development
- Experience with SaaS at scale
- Experience with configuration management tools and cloud management automation, such as Cloud Formation, OpsWorks, Chef, Puppet, Ansible
- Solid understanding of containerization services such as Docker or AMI
- Working knowledge of monitoring such as AWS, Logstash, Sensu
- Solid understanding/experience of web services and applications, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures
- Experience with Postgres databases
- A firm understanding of search engine technology such as Elasticsearch
- Solid understanding of backup/restore best practices in the cloud
- Ability to manage using a modern scripting language, such as Python and Ruby.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting an enterprise-level SaaS environment
- Knowledge of AWS APIs a plus
