EnerNOC has an immediate need for a Market Lead Intern working in the Demand Response Customer Operations group. The goal of the Market Lead team is to prepare & support commercial and industrial facilities to perform consistently in demand response events. The Market Lead team manages the customer experience through the initial onboarding process and for the life of their enrollment with EnerNOC.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to become well versed in Demand Response markets and EnerNOC’s process & operational protocols. The ML intern will support the Market Lead team by onboarding new customers into demand response programs, improving the overall onboarding process, and communicating program rules, expectations, and onboarding requirements to customers. 

Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

 

About the Job:

Support ENOC customer success in Demand Response programs:

  • Support the initial onboarding process; report on and identify lags or delays, communicate progress both in and out of the organization.
  • Support various tools that aid in the onboarding process – particularly the Customer Onboarding Portal to assist in data-gathering and data entry for new customers.
  • Learn and be able to explain general program rules and nuances to Demand Response customers.
  • Assist Market Leads with ad hoc reporting, customer outreach, CRM (Salesforce) data-entry, etc.

Process improvement:

  • Become adept at navigating, reporting and bulk updating in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Coordinate and manage the handoff process between the Customer Onboarding Portal and the Market Leads; establish and follow escalation paths, etc.
  • Increase operational efficiency by creating new tools & optimizing existing processes.
  • Learn to recognize inconsistencies or redundancies from program to program, and identify opportunities for standardization.

 

About You:

  • Strong self-motivation with the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment
  • Experience successfully managing multiple parallel projects while communicating project status and expectations both in and out of the organization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (esp. Excel, Visio, PPT)

 

Above & Beyond:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate vast data sets.
  • Prior experience with CRM software, esp. Salesforce CRM
  • Prior experience leveraging Excel Visual Basic to automate business processes
  • Previous experience specifically relating to energy management or energy systems through consulting, project management, or other relevant experience.
