THE ROLE:

We’re looking for…

 

A Data Analyst for our Merchandise Programming team who will be responsible for site analytics related to our Merchandising boutiques (including sales, boutique metrics, brand and franchise cadence, member visitation and conversion, and personalization initiatives). The Data Analyst will assist in translating this data into specific, actionable insights and strategies that will help us to optimize sales, profits, efficiencies, and customer engagement.

 

What you’ll accomplish…

  • Data Analytics, including:

    • Optimal boutique count, length, and size targets based on history and trend
    • Analyze results of personalization initiatives
    • Monitor brand and franchise cadence on our site to ensure appropriate exposure
    • Analyze visitation, conversion, and demand by launch time to optimize results
    • Collaborate with other teams, including Merchandising, Planning, Production, Creative, Marketing, and Warehouse to share data and analysis, and implement new initiatives
    • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Recommend specific strategies and actions that will enable us to optimize sales and customer engagement.

  • Reporting:

    • Manage and enhance Programming reporting and calendar templates
    • Manage Programming Dept. historic data
    • Ad hoc reporting as needed

In addition, the Programming Team interacts on a daily basis with many key departments, so you will have consistent exposure to all aspects of the Rue business, and will work directly with many of our awesome teams, including Merchandising, Boutique Production, Creative, Marketing, Planning, and Warehouse.

 

 

THE RIGHT FIT:


You have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 Years Related Experience in a Retail, E-Commerce, or Data Analytics environment. Exposure to Fashion and Merchandising preferred. 
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau
  • Experience with database querying tools and languages such as SQL preferred but not required
  • Proven Analytics / Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate data and analysis into specific set of conclusions and strategies. Ability to think out of the box. Common sense business acumen. 
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Confident and persuasive presentation skills. Ability to simplify message and data into understandable and impactful messages to target audience. Ability to lead and influence others.
  • Outstanding Collaboration / Teamwork Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with diverse cross-functional teams. Looking for a Kind, Genial, Even-keeled personality.
  • Very high Efficiency / Capability: Self starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a high-energy, fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The Merchandise Programming Team manages Rue La La’s calendar of boutiques to ensure that we are offering the most compelling assortment possible to our members each day. We collaborate closely with many key teams - Merchandising, Boutique Production, Creative, Marketing, Planning, and Warehouse Operations – to bring the calendar and our daily emails to life!
