Our customers have incredible stories. The Brightcove Customer Reference Program creates opportunities for them to share their stories through awards, speaking engagements, byline articles, guest blog posts, analyst discussions, videos, case studies and other formats. Collaborating with our customer champions and internal Brightcove teams, we develop ways to tell customer stories that benefit our champions, their organizations, and Brightcove.

We are seeking an experienced content creator/writer with a proven track record of producing high quality, engaging written materials to support the Customer Reference Program. This position will require 20 - 30 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about all aspects of storytelling — researching a story, identifying the key themes, adapting it up for use in a variety of media, and working in partnership with our customers to secure the necessary approvals to use the story internally and externally. You will also be highly motivated, organized, team-oriented and creative with a friendly and outgoing personality. The position will report to the Director of Customer Reference Programs, and will work closely with our Public Relations team, our Business Unit and field marketing groups.

Key activities will include developing interview guides and other tools to highlight a customer’s pain points, solutions and quantifiable benefits once working with Brightcove. These materials will be used to develop a wide range of assets, including case studies, videos, blogs, customer quotes and testimonials, abstracts for bylined articles, award and speaking opportunity submissions, and other opportunities for our customers to tell their stories.

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline
  • Minimum of five years of experience and a proven track record in writing and producing content for customer programs, customer success, product marketing or related fields; technology, software or cloud services a plus
  • Experience in customer reference marketing and/or public or analyst relations a plus
  • Well-honed oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and balance priorities
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mentality with demonstrated ability to extend opportunities with content in many ways
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Google Docs, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel; working knowledge of Salesforce a plus
