Required Education Level: College graduate or currently enrolled undergraduate, with or working toward degree in a subject that we currently offer or need to offer.

Required Work Experience: 0 years of related full-time work (entry level).

Please note that this position is located in the Boston office. If you do not live locally, please detail in a Cover Letter when you are planning to move to Boston. Current local candidates will be prioritized for this position. Note that we do not sponsor employment Visas at this time.

Required Skills:

You must:

  • Be insanely excited about your academic field/s of expertise (e.g., social sciences, life sciences, business).
  • Have excellent written communication skills.
  • Be a curious, proactive, independent problem-solver.
  • Have a tenacious work ethic and be excited about working toward aggressive short-term and long-term goals.
  • Be both adept with high-level ideas and attentive to small details. Not only can you come up with outside-the-box solutions, but you can also execute them step by step.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be flexible; able to quickly switch between different projects and goals.
  • Be proficient in Excel and Google docs.
  • Be able to use our platform. (Prove it! Create an account on boundless.com and make an edit in any of our 26 subjects.)

It's a plus if you:

  • Are passionate about education technology.
  • Are comfortable and skilled working with quantitative data.
  • Are opinionated about important philosophical questions.

We're especially excited if you:

  • Have an academic background in business subjects (Business, Management, Econ, Finance, Accounting).
  • Have an academic background in college-level math (Algebra, Calculus, developmental / remedial).
  • Have experience developing interactive media.
  • Have experience creating and/or evaluating assessments (psychometrics).

 

 

Position Roles and Responsibilities: (Note: Responsibilities may change slightly based on specific interests, areas of expertise, and project availability; depending on the same, there is the possibility for this to transition to a full-time position.)

  • CONTENT CREATION
    • On-the-ground writing and editing (based on domain expertise)
    • Supervised quality assurance (QA) of subject-matter-experts' (SME) work
  • RESEARCH INTO NEW DIRECTIONS FOR CONTENT AND PLATFORM
    • Investigating answers to a set of questions about a research topic (the specific questions will be provided)
    • Presenting research findings and suggestions for next steps to team
  • USER / COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
    • Monitoring and responding to community contributions to our content
  • HELPDESK SUPPORT
    • Responding to user requests about basic technological issues on our site
  • SALES / ACCOUNT SUPPORT
    • In subjects with expertise, estimating how much of an educator's class we can cover with our content
    • In subjects with expertise, aligning our content to match a provided syllabus or outline
  • PLATFORM RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Testing and QAing our site's features and functions
  • DATA ANALYTICS
    • Observing more senior team members' retrieval of data about our content, site, and users
