Position: Community Manager
Reports To: Director, Demand Generation
Location: Boston Metro-West
BoardOnTrack is a high growth SaaS start-up providing expertise, training, web-based tools and a membership community to charter school board members nationwide. We are creating a national movement to transform how charter school boards are governed and enabling volunteers to have a greater impact on academic outcomes that close the achievement gap.
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate individual to help us reach our audience, tell our story, and build a national community of amazing people through online and offline efforts. This role is not just about building and managing social media profiles. We need someone who can get to the core of the charter school movement, engage these amazing people with each other and BoardOnTrack while learning the nuances of the B2V (business to volunteer) model.
Responsibilities
- Execute and help shape our community engagement strategy
- Listen and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing members, leads and explore new ways to reach our audience.
- Develop, run, and analyze community outreach programs, online and offline.
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
- Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to both spread our brand and our content and links.
- Work closely with member success teams to re-enforce brand value through community, and peer-to-peer engagement activities.
- Integrate community and social programs within context of our overall marketing programs
- Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success
Desired Skills and Experience:
- You exude our brand juju; it’s just part of who you are.
- Understand trends in social media marketing but aren’t a parrot or lemming
- Know the how AND WHY of building online and offline communities
- Can use both data and intuition to inform decisions
- Great storyteller, compelling copyrighter, analytical builder of brand buzz
- Ability to connect people and stimulate discussion
- Knowledge of content needs for funnel stages
- Think and plan like a project manager
- Event planning and coordination experience
