edX is looking for a Business Development Coordinator to support the development and execution of our business development efforts. They will act as a central liaison for strategic partnership and edX customers.

We are looking for high energy, tenacity, and a desire for challenges, optimism, ability to deal with ambiguity and the initiative to get things done. Candidates should also have an interest in developing a future career in account management, sales, or marketing.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  1. Provide administrative support to two senior BD executives as well as manage the needs of their customers. For our BD executives, this includes scheduling meetings and conferences, processing expenses and booking all travel. For edX customers, this includes booking appointments, providing promotional materials, and managing other hospitality-related details.
  2. Maintain a Salesforce database of partners and prospects, compile mailing lists, conduct due diligence, and enter all activity into the system. The BD Coordinator will also create Salesforce reports and corresponding slide decks, which will be used for the weekly edX President's meeting.
  3. Proofread important documents, including proposals, contracts, contact, expense, and call reports - with high attention to detail.
  4. Streamline systems for processing orders from enterprise clients. This includes filling out missing order information, tracking the status of order forms and acquiring signatures across departments (accounting, legal, finance, etc.). The BD Coordinator will also work with customers by filling out order forms, suggesting new courses, and complete other ad-hoc account development tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar administrative assistant, coordinator, or project manager position
  • Extreme attention to detail and experience producing zero-defect work
  • Effective in a high-volume, fast-paced start-up environment with high workload
  • Superior speaking, interpersonal, writing, and communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and projects
  • Be highly available and responsive to emails and phone calls during and after business hours when needed
  • Experience booking travel is required (international travel a plus) and availability to travel if/when needed (less than 10% of the time)
  • Must be proficient in all three suites/systems: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps for Business, and Salesforce
