Job Summary:

Invaluable is looking to add a key player to a growing analytics team that will help answer complex analytical questions that will aid in driving business strategy. The Business Analyst will be instrumental in solving business issues using statistical analysis for a variety of stakeholders, including the company’s executive team. The Business Analyst will also be the primary manager of the organization’s internal data warehouse, working with data architects to expand the breadth of data collected while ensuring accuracy. This position will serve as a pivotal contributor to the organization by connecting insights from data to other parts of the business.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Work alongside the Senior Manager of Analytics on a wide range of analytical, reporting, and ad-hoc projects
Design new - and maintain existing - performance reports and dashboards based on organizational needs for information, including quarterly reporting for board meetings

Expand the capabilities and scope of the organization’s operational data warehouse by serving as the primary owner and serving as the liaison between tech and business stakeholders

Serve as a resource for sales and marketing, as well as other teams on occasion, to help move business initiatives forward by providing quality analytical support and guidance

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in an analytics, finance, consulting or related function
  • Hands-on experience with database querying tools, languages, and analytical platforms - especially SQL
  • Experience working with relational databases, with the ability to understand data models and data structures
  • Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker or PowerBI preferred, but not necessary
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Self-starter with strong quantitative and analytical abilities with and high level of attention to detail
  • Passionate about delivering solutions to problems and determining methodology for improved deliverables
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills including estimating appropriate time for tasks and deliverables, creating focus, eliminating roadblocks and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • BA/BS with significant coursework in business, computer science, mathematics, economics or a similar field.
