This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing financial team in a new role and support our rapidly growing organization where you will have the chance to make an immediate impact in this dynamic business by controlling invoices and expenses and receiving, verifying accuracy and approvals, processing, and propose payments based on due dates. This role will involve managing supplier relationships and working with various internal departments.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the registering, processing and payment of invoices in accordance with MOO company policies, the resolving of vendor queries in an accurate, efficient and timely manner as well as the building and maintenance of strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This position will report to the US Accounting Manager and support the finance team to assist in the high volume and provide an exceptional level of support internally and externally.



Responsibilities:

  • Daily registering, coding, matching, batching and processing of vendor invoices
  • Ensure correct approval and cost center allocation
  • Set-up, maintain and reconcile vendor accounts
  • Resolve vendor queries
  • Process credit applications to take advantage of credit terms
  • Verify and process employee expense claims
  • Prepare bank-, credit card- and account reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of payment runs
  • Assist with various ad hoc departmental activities
  • Assist with month, quarter and annual year-end closes
  • Prepare month-end accruals and other month-end journal entries/reconciliations

Skills:

  • 3+ years of AP experience in a corporate high growth environment
  • Thorough understanding of basic double entry book keeping and accounting principles
  • Advanced Data Entry skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks Accounting a plus

  • Education: 
  • College Level Degree in Accounting/Finance of a related course of study
