CounterTack to keep fighting cyberattacks with new $10M in funding

CounterTack, a Waltham-based cybersecurity firm, raised another $10 million in funding this week, pushing the company’s total funding well over $60 million.

According to a press release, the funding will be used to support the expansion of CounterTack to Asia Pacific and to do more business with the U.S. government.

The funding will also help support the growth of CounterTack’s platform Sentinel, a continuous monitoring and threat response solution.

CounterTack, formerly known as NeuralIQ, detects and responds to cyberattacks that originate at endpoints (or devices) that are on a company’s network. The company also offers technology that performs advanced behavioral analysis to set off fewer false alarms when it comes to cyberattacks.

The release didn't name any backers, but Term Sheet said investors include TenEleven Ventures, Fairhaven Capital, Goldman Sachs, Razor's Edge, ManTech International, Siemens Venture Partners, Alcatel-Lucent, EDBI and Mitsui.
