4 Boston fintech companies hiring engineers, developers and more

It's no surprise Boston has a vigorous financial industry. Home to notable financial institutions like Fidelity Investments, Putnam Investments and State Street Corp. (in addition to numerous hedge funds and private equity firms), Beantown has long been recognized for a finance sector that stretches well beyond its Financial District.

But as many who work in finance know, it’s an industry that’s slow to change. That's why in the past couple of decades, savvy tech entrepreneurs have taken opportunities to collaborate with the legacy financial sector and create booming fintech companies. Today, Boston is home to fintech startups changing the way people pay for things, spend and save. Here we’ve rounded up four fintech companies hiring right now.

What they do: Domeyard LP is a hedge fund focused on high frequency trading. They leverage advances in high-performance computing and data analysis to implement trading algorithms across a diverse range of assets like equities, futures, fixed income, energy and commodities.

Best perks: Domeyard encourages openness and collaboration, and employees are instantly granted the opportunity to lead relevant projects and weigh in on the company in general. Employees also enjoy weekly catered lunches, flexible work hours and a gaming lounge to unwind.

What they do: Founded in 2010, EverTrue provides fundraising teams with web and mobile software to help identify and prioritize their prospects. Today it is used by over 300 nonprofit institutions with a combined $17 billion of giving data.

Best perks: EverTrue offers an unlimited vacation policy and a TrueAdventure bonus that helps employees make the most of their vacation. Their comprehensive employee benefits plan includes a 401k-match and health, dental, vision and life plans.

Our three floor office is overlooks the Boston Common right on Tremont Street.

What they do: Flywire, formerly peerTransfer, helps international students make cross-border payments, connecting institutions on six continents with consumers from around the world. Besides students, Flywire’s platform has expanded to include servicing international patients, hospitals and healthcare providers.

Best perks: Flywire provides on-the-job training and mentoring to help its employees advance their career paths. It also offers travel opportunities and stock options.

Our company is conveniently located in Wakefield just north of Boston. We also offer a hybrid work option for those who are more comfortable at home.

What they do: Vestmark is changing the advisory solutions industry with its SaaS technology that provides comprehensive portfolio management and trading solutions. Vestmark's clients currently manage over 1.7 million accounts representing over $550 billion in assets under management.

Best perk: Every summer, Vestmark takes over the rooftop of their parking garage and turns it into a cruise-themed cookout, complete with tourist and vacation attire, a barbeque buffet and games.
